Pintura de Adrienne Sherman.

"Adrienne Sherman’s new work continues to explore the relationship of man to beast. Often there is a contrast between the innocent curiosity of the animal, set against the sophisticated creations of an earlier human civilization. Many of the works derive their inspiration from an historical figure such as Marie Antoinette, Dumas, or Charles the IV of Bohemia. Animals again play their part as surrogates or in supporting roles. Greek amphorae hold a particular fascination for Sherman as does the controlled geometry of Renaissance gardens and various interpretations of vice. Most works are oil on panel or canvas, meticulously rendered and modest in scale".
